Gateway Transition Programme – Congratulation to our first cohort graduates

On 10 April 2025, the first cohort of students to complete the Gateway Transition Programme celebrated their graduation at a special event where they were presented with certificates—each containing a unique verification code for future employers.

A total of 65 first-year students from 12 OBBS programmes completed the 9-task programme, designed to develop eight essential ‘transition’ skills. These included academic literacy (e.g. referencing, critical thinking), as well as collaboration and presentation skills—foundational to academic success and future employability.

The Gateway Programme emerged from the OBBS Induction and Transition task-and-finish project and highlights the value of structured skill-building in the first year of undergraduate study.
