We offer a range of scholarships and financial support to help our international students with the costs of studying at Oxford Brookes. You can find out more about some of these schemes below.

£2,000 International Student Scholarship

Starting your degree in September 2024? You could qualify for one of our £2,000 international student scholarships.

We know that moving to a new country can be a challenge, and we believe that early preparation is an important factor in student success. In order to encourage our students to be well prepared for their new life in the UK, we are offering a £2,000 scholarship to support students who make their deposit payment by 15 April 2024 for postgraduate applicants and 6 June 2024 for undergraduate applicants.

£1,000 International Student Scholarship

Students who are starting their degree with us in September 2024 could qualify for one of our £1,000 international student scholarships.

If students are unable to meet the relevant deposit payment deadlines for our £2,000 International Student Scholarship, we are still offering a £1,000 scholarship for applicants who pay their deposit by 30 June 2024.

GREAT Scholarships 2024

Oxford Brookes University is excited to announce that this year, in partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, we are offering three £10,000 scholarships to students from Kenya, Nigeria and Pakistan holding an offer to study a postgraduate course with us starting in September 2024.

This Scholarship scheme is part of the GREAT Scholarship 2024 programme, which is an initiative by the British Council and the UK Government, designed to attract some of the brightest postgraduate students from around the world to study at more than 40 British universities in the 2024-25 academic year.

Sanctuary Scholarship 2024

This scholarship is for individuals seeking asylum and those who have a form of protection from an asylum claim, who are not able to access government student finance. For September 2024 entry there will be one scholarship available.

Commonwealth Shared Scholarship 2024

These scholarships are offered by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission and funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). They are for students from eligible low and middle income Commonwealth countries who want to study for a full-time taught master’s degree at a UK university.

This scholarship covers: your tuition fees, return travel costs, a monthly stipend and an allowances package for September 2024 entry.
