Resilient student halls at Oxford Brookes University

Oxford Brookes University leads the way in climate resilience with the redevelopment of Clive Booth Student Village, a UK Universities Climate Network case study authored by SRF Network Lead, Dr Esra Kurul.

A UK Universities Climate Network case study written by the Sustainable & Resilient Futures Network Lead Dr Esra Kurul documents the Clive Booth Student Village Hall redevelopment Project at Oxford Brookes University.   

Clive Booth Student Village is a student accommodation site, close to Marston Road in East Oxford. 

Oxford Brookes University received planning permission to redevelop this site, which will increase resilience to higher temperatures and heatwaves, flooding and potential risks of energy shocks. It will also provide benefits to student quality of living, reducing pressure on local housing supply and reducing carbon emissions.
