Trudy Ing

I am the Schools and Colleges Liaison Manager and at present the co-chair for the Staff Disability Network.

I was given a label when I was younger as being thick, in those days dyslexia was not known as a learning disability. I was 35 when I was first informed that I had dyslexia, to me I was overjoyed to learn it had a name and I was wired differently when it came to learning.

Things have moved on from those days. Now for me there is so much more that can be done to support all staff with any disability, and make sure we continue to raise awareness about disabled people in the workplace.
