Volunteering is a fantastic way to enhance your experience at Oxford Brookes and the Careers Volunteer Centre can support you in finding volunteering opportunities.

Oxford Brookes Volunteer Centre offers both online and in-person support. Visit us during semester in person on Tuesdays in the Clerici Foyer between 12:00pm - 2:00pm and on Fridays in the JHBB reception area between 11:30am - 2:30pm, or book a virtual appointment.

What the Volunteer Centre offers

  • Visit our Volunteer Centre and meet our Volunteer Coordinator, Maya. 
  • Discover the many and varied ways you can help out in your local the community. 
  • Find out about opportunities that match your interests, or try something new and gain new skills! 
  • Contact us with any questions you have about volunteering, or to book in for a Volunteering 1-1 chat session. Appointments are either virtual via telephone or in person. We also offer information by email. Please contact Maya at volunteering@brookes.ac.uk.
  • If you are keen to offer support to your neighbours in Oxford or wherever you are located, we would encourage you to follow NCVO’s guidelines of staying safe while supporting others.

Meet local community groups on campus
Volunteer Friday Pop Ups take place in the JHBB Reception area where you can meet charities and chat to groups that are recruiting.
