With upcoming exams for many students, we’ve compiled a range of tools, tips and resources that you can use now to help you achieve your goals and reduce any stress you may have.

Revision and exam support and wellbeing

In advance of your exams, perhaps on a break from revision, make sure to spend some time reading through the Examinations webpage. This information will help you to successfully navigate before, on the day and after your exams, so you can know what to expect - including what you can and can’t take into your exams.

If you have any specific queries or concerns that aren't covered on the exam pages, then please contact the Exams Team as soon as possible.

Academic and study support

In-person and online study skills tutorials

The Centre for Academic Development offers tutorials where you can receive expert guidance on study skills to help with your revision and exams, such as time management and developing your writing skills. Tutorials are available in person, at our Headington and Swindon campuses, as well as online via Zoom. Find out how to book a tutorial appointment on the Tutorials webpage.

  • Book the library’s Sensory Study Space. There’s a wide range of study spaces in Headington Library, but do you know about the Sensory Study Space on level 3? This is a bookable study room designed to be more inclusive to people with different sensory needs. Learn more about the Sensory Study Space and see how to book it.

Wellbeing support

Remember, as a Brookes student you have free, 24/7, immediate access to mental health and wellbeing support on Togetherall (including over the Easter break). It’s a safe space for you to get things off your chest and connect with others who may be feeling the same way.

Headington Library Wellbeing Zone

Taking regular breaks from studying is important, and the Wellbeing Zone is designed to support this. The Wellbeing Zone is conveniently located on level 1 of the Headington Library in JHBB and is available to all students. The Wellbeing Zone is also the home of the library’s Wellbeing Book Collection, which has a wide range of books to help you manage life at university.

Multifaith Chaplaincy

The Multifaith Chaplaincy supports students of all beliefs and none. They have prayer and quiet rooms available and can offer a sympathetic ear.
