About us

Working with the University's Graduate College Committees: Research Degrees Committee, its Sub-Committees and the Graduate College Steering Group, the Research Degrees Team is responsible for developing regulations and procedures for postgraduate research provision at Oxford Brookes.

What we do

In support of the University's Graduate College, we oversee the implementation of postgraduate research policies and regulations and offer guidance to enrolled students, staff delivering the programmes and external bodies. We also provide support for the development of research degree programmes, including promotional activities associated with ensuring candidates are aware of the broad range of programmes and opportunities offered by the University.

The Research Degrees Team organises all university wide Graduate College supervisor training, research student induction and generic skills training programmes as well as a range of social and networking events.

The Research Degrees Team is responsible for promoting research degree programmes and activities; co-ordinating research degree entries for the postgraduate prospectus; and promoting the range of research degrees available at the university.
