Plenary talk by Prof. David Clifton (Machine Learning Foundation models for Health Care)

David Clifton is Royal Academy of Engineering Chair of Clinical Machine Learning at the University of Oxford and Director of the Computational Health Informatics (CHI) Lab. His research focuses on developing trustworthy AI and foundation models for healthcare, with particular emphasis on clinical decision support, digital health, and the safe deployment of machine learning in real-world medical settings. He works closely with clinicians and industry to translate AI research into scalable healthcare technologies.
