What is Think Space?

Think Space is an initiative that brings together a wide range of development opportunities offered by different departments at Brookes in one place. Explore the activities below to discover opportunities to excel in your studies and get the most out of your university experiences.

Library searching and referencing skills

How to find real and reliable academic sources to inform your writing - and how to reference those sources correctly so you can demonstrate your learning.

Research and writing

Discover your academic voice and develop your confidence with a wide range of sessions on academic style, effective research methods, critical thinking and more.

Mathematics and statistics

Our workshops can help build your confidence and develop your skills across maths, statistics and related software, including spreadsheets and SPSS. 

Motivation and wellbeing

Being self-aware and reflective is central to success at university and beyond. We have workshops on time management and motivation, reflection, mindfulness and more.

Employability and communication skills

The Careers Service has an extensive range of events to develop your employability. You will also find details of sessions on effective communication, presentation skills, group work and more.

Digital skills and generative AI

Developing digital skills including generative AI is essential for every student at Brookes. Whether you are navigating learning technology for the first time, exploring how Gen AI is useful for research, or using unfamiliar new software, help is at hand.
