Older People's Day Volunteering Activity

Volunteer at a special event to celebrate the UN Older People's day at the Town Hall

Many older people face barriers when it comes to using technology for everyday tasks such as using their mobile, emailing, paying bills, or staying in touch with loved ones online.
On 7th October, a special event will be held to celebrate the UN Older People's day at the Town Hall organised by the Oxford 50+ Network. The event will feature a range of stalls from voluntary and local organisations, offering information about services available to them.
As part of the event Oxford Brookes are excited to run a Digital drop in where people can pop in and get some help on basic internet or mobile skills — such as setting up Zoom, sending emails, or browsing the web or general help using their device.
We are looking for friendly volunteers to support the drop in. If you have a few hours to spare and are confident using the internet, we’d love to have your help!
If you can volunteer, please complete the following form: https://forms.gle/UNUH5Lu8M97W4nJ38
