Practical Statistics: Intro to Hypothesis Testing
What do p-values really mean and how are they used to interpret results?
If statistics feel overwhelming, this workshop series is for you. Practical Statistics is a series of hands-on workshops designed to build your confidence with statistics, from understanding data and choosing the right analysis to interpreting and writing up your results.
Hypothesis testing is used to investigate whether differences between groups or relationships in data are likely to be real or simply due to chance. In this session, you'll learn the key ideas behind hypothesis testing, what p-values really mean, and how to interpret the results of common statistical tests.
