Academic Writing Lab: Using your research to develop strong arguments (16 March)
How to find your writing 'voice' and produce good academic arguments based on a range of evidence.
Reading and research is an important part of the writing process. At university, your job is not just to repeat what other people have said, but to reach your own conclusions and present your own arguments based on what you have researched. This session explores how good notes can be used to help you find your writing ‘voice.’
This session is part of the Academic Writing Lab series, which will take you through the processes involved in planning and writing assignments. These are informal sessions suitable for any level of study and may be particularly useful to students studying in a UK university for the first time.
We are now using Zoom scheduler to handle bookings on many Think Space events. When you click on the booking link you will be taken to a booking page. Click on the start time of the event and then fill in your details. Confirmation will then be sent to your google calendar and email and you can add a phone number to get a text message reminder. We will not use your phone details for anything except processing this booking.
