Finishing up your dissertation (3 March)

A session about editing your dissertation and how to use advanced features in Word and Google Docs to save you many hours of stress

This session explores the later stages of your dissertation - how to ensure your dissertation is well focused and clearly argued, and making sure your proofreading works so that you are not losing marks for minor issues. We will also explore some of the advanced digital tools in Word and Google Docs that can make your life easier. These include how to make automatic Contents pages and tables of figures, using section breaks to put some pages in landscape whilst most stay in portrait mode, and we will also take a critical look at the AI editing tools in Word - how might you use these but ensure you retain your own authentic writing voice?

This event is on campus and there are computers available to use in the room. There will also be time for you to get individual advice on your dissertation write-up.
