Why choose an Oxford Brookes course?

With an Oxford Brookes course, you are safe in the knowledge that you are studying for a well recognised qualification taught to the highest standards expected in higher education.

1. High calibre teaching and learning

All our courses are carefully designed by experienced academics to meet the needs of students. They work in partnership with knowledgeable, industry-informed college teaching staff to ensure delivery of degree-level learning. All are passionate about their subject and making it accessible to others.

Oxford Brookes prides itself on inspiring students to expand the way they think and explore their subject. Many of its academics are internationally recognised trailblazers in their subject area - whether it be in the sciences, humanities, technology or other fields.

2. A wide range of foundation degrees

UCAS describes a foundation degree as…

"...a degree level qualification which combines academic study with workplace learning. Designed in association with employers, they are qualifications to equip people with the relevant skills, knowledge and understanding to achieve academic results as well as improve performance and productivity in the workplace. A foundation degree is the equivalent of two-thirds of a full honours degree and is a fully flexible qualification allowing students to study part-time or full-time to fit their lifestyle."

We offer over 30 foundation degree courses and in many subject areas you can 'top up' with a final third year, to graduate with a full honours degree.

3. Flexible entry qualifications

You may not need traditional qualifications to get onto a course - work experience, previous learning and a desire to study all count when we consider your application.
