Overview

This scholarship will pay the tuition fees for a full-time home student who joined the MSc Spatial Planning programme in the 2026-27 Academic Year.

Eligibility

Eligibility criteria

The scholarship is available to full-time and home students who started the MSc Spatial Planning course during the Academic Year 2026/27 - either September or January start date. Applicants must meet ALL these criteria.

This funding is available to students studying on the following courses:

Application process

Applicants for the scholarship must submit using the form link a 500-word rationale for their application setting out their interest in planning as a profession and a public service. 

Terms and conditions of financial support

  1. This is a competitive process and only one application will be successful. 
  2. The scholar must have enrolled on the MSc Spatial Planning course as a full time student and started the course during the 2026-27 academic year. The scholar must be a Home student. 
  3. The scholarship is paid to the recipient as a single transaction. 
  4. Applications will only be considered if they are made before 13:00 on Monday 31 December 2026.
  5. If you are successful in receiving the scholarship, you must notify the University immediately if your circumstances change.
  6. Scholars must adhere to Oxford Brookes’ student conduct.
  7. Scholars are expected to commit to working in a public sector planning role for at least two years after completing the MSc Spatial Planning programme.
