  • What is the Get Published! scheme?

Get Published! supports students in publishing their research.

Get Published! helps students to share knowledge with wide audiences, to develop research literacy and communication skills, and to stand out from the crowd.

As an Oxford Brookes student, research is involved in lots of your modules, and some modules are wholly dedicated to research projects. You can already publish your research, individually or collaboratively, in a number of ways: in select journals, at exhibitions, through blogs, etc.

However, we recognise that opportunities for publishing student research could be more extensive, especially for undergraduates and postgraduates on taught programmes. That’s why Get Published! offers you the chance to publish research in the Oxford Brookes online Student Research collection, present at the Get Published! Student Research Poster Conference and participate in even more prestigious research events such as Posters in Parliament and the British Conference for Undergraduate Research.

Why should you publish your research?

    • Use and improve your transferable skills – research, visual and verbal communication, peer support
    • Build your research confidence
    • Develop your ideas through fine-tuning your work by receiving feedback from peers, academics, professionals, and the public
    • Improve your profile and develop a professional network
    • Impress potential employers or interviewers when applying for jobs or further study

Be heard. Be seen. Be read.
