Step 1: Identify an institution to host your examination. This will normally be your nearest British Council. Other institutions will only be approved at the discretion of the Examinations Manager (e.g. another University).
Step 2: Contact the host institution and find out who can help you organise your off-site exam. This will be your Off-site Exam Contact. You will need their email address and the postal address of the institution.
Step 3: Complete the Request Exam be Taken Off-site Form in Student Requests, making sure you have provided all contact details of your Off-site Exam Contact.
Step 4: Make the payment to Brookes for the application through the online shop. If we are unable to arrange your examination, then we will refund this fee. If you choose not to attend the examination, the fee is non-refundable.
Step 5: We will contact your host institution to make a formal request to host your exam.
Step 6: We will inform you if your application has been approved or rejected. If the application has been rejected, payment will be refunded.
Step 7: Make sure you make all required registrations and payments with your host institution before any deadlines they set. This is your responsibility.
Step 8: Attend your examination at the host institution on the correct date and time. Remember to bring your Brookes ID card and other required items to the exam.
