International Student Advice Team (ISAT) have organised some events and workshops to help you to settle into life in the UK and at Oxford Brookes University. Arrivals activities are organised during Induction Week and we will update this page regularly.

The International Student Meeting Point (ISMP) is a help desk for new international students. Our International Student Advisers and International Student Helpers are here to answer any questions you have. Come and see us to join one of our free tours, learn about our events, pick up a SIM card, or just to have a chat.

Headington Campus tours are for international students. The tours will be led by our International Student Helpers and will last approximately 1 hour.

Join us for a tour of the city centre to explore Oxford, find out information about shops and points of interest and to make friends. Tours will last approximately 1 hour.
Are you moving into one of the Brookes Halls this January?
The Brookes Residences Team will be running guided tours of the halls so you can find you way around and check out where the facilities are. ISAT will also be coming along to the tours, to say hello and let you know how we can help you as an international student at Oxford Brookes.

When: Tuesday 20 January 2026, 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
Location: The Terrace, John Henry Brookes Building (JHBB), Headington Campus.
Booking: This is a free event. No booking is required however there will be a capacity limit so we recommend arriving on time. We will have to turn people away should we reach capacity.

Join Rob, our amazing tour guide, for a walking tour of historic Oxford and its colleges. Tours last approximately 1 hour.
When: Saturday 24 January 2026.
Price: £15 (Guided walking tour only - travel NOT included, Oxford Tube bus recommended)
Meeting point: Rob, our tour guide, will meet you at the London Victoria Rail Station bus stop at 11.30am (UK time).
Meeting time: 11:30am (UK time).
Trip Overview:
Meet our guide Rob in London at 11:30am for a two-hour walking tour and you’ll hear some amazing stories about this incredible city while viewing Buckingham Palace, St James’s Park, Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, The Strand, Convent Garden and the South Bank of the River Thames.
… and that’s just the start of the day, there is a 24-hour bus back to Oxford Brookes, so you can return when you want. Why not ask Rob for info on some places to see in your free time? Remember some of the top museums and attractions in London are free to visit!

Transport: Please note that you need to organise and pay for your own transport to and from London. We recommend that you book an early coach or train, as there may be delays during your journey. If you have a lot of spare time in London before the start of the tour, you can grab a coffee or go for a wander around the area. We would recommend using the Oxford Tube bus, as this goes directly from outside the University, to London Victoria.
