International Student Advice Team (ISAT) have organised some events and workshops to help you to settle into life in the UK and at Oxford Brookes University. Arrivals activities are organised during Induction Week and we will update this page regularly.

ISAT will be hosting a series of workshops for new international students. Please take a look at what's going on ahead of your arrival and during the induction week.


Student Visa Application and Preparing for Your Arrival Workshops

If you are an international student joining us in January, take part in our online Student Visa Application workshop and also our online Preparing for Your Arrivals workshop. We recommend joining both of these workshops. You can find out more about the two workshops and register below.


Student Visa Application Workshop

Get useful information and advice regarding: The process of receiving your CAS, the documents required for your student visa application, the process of receiving your student visa, and travelling to the UK.

You can join our workshop on one of the following dates:

  • Wednesday 3 December at 1:00pm (The deadline for registering is Tuesday 2 December)
  • Friday 12 December at 11:00am (The deadline for registering is Thursday 11 December)

You will need to register by completing the registration form below.

Preparing for Your Arrivals Workshop

Get useful information and advice regarding: How to arrive at your accommodation, what to bring, the UK culture, how to make friends, and what happens next. You will also get the chance to meet other new students. 

You can join our workshop on one of the following dates:

  • Wednesday 17 December at 10:00am (The deadline for registering is Tuesday 16 December)
  • Wednesday 7 January at 2:30pm (The deadline for registering is Tuesday 6 January)
