The International Student Advice Team (ISAT) organise events and workshops to help you to settle into life in the UK and at Oxford Brookes University. Arrivals activities are organised ahead of, and during Induction Week and we will update this page regularly.

Welcome Event for new students starting in May/June 2026

New Students - Breakfast Walk and Talk - Welcome event with ISAT

When: Monday, 8 June 2026 at 10:00am
Where: Meeting point in JHB G24, John Henry Building, ground floor, Headington Campus.

If you are joining us in May or June, this event is for you! Join the International Student Advice Team for free breakfast! We wish to welcome you at Brookes and to show you around campus. It will be an opportunity to make friends and to find out more about ISAT and how we will be supporting you during your studies. We will also show you the facilities on campus and talk to you about other support services. We look forward to meeting you!

Student Visa Application Workshops

If you are joining us in September, take part in one of our online workshops to get useful information and advice regarding the process of receiving your CAS, the documents required for your Student Visa application, and the process of receiving your visa and travelling to the UK.

Preparing for Your Arrival Workshops

If you are a new international student joining us in September, join one of our online preparing for your arrival workshops to receive information on: How to arrive at your accommodation, what to bring, the UK culture, how to make friends, and what happens next. You will also get the chance to meet other new students.

You can join our workshop on one of the following dates:
