The International Student Advice Team (ISAT) organises events and day trips to help you make the most of your time in Oxford and discover other places of interest in the UK.
Take part in our photo competition. The theme is 'First Impressions of the UK and life at Oxford Brookes'
Take a picture that encapsulates a first impression of the UK or your life here at Oxford Brookes and let us know the story behind the picture that is personal to you in a 200 word paragraph.
All entries must be submitted via email to isat@brookes.ac.uk. Entries should include an attached photograph along with a 200 word paragraph in your own personal words.
The closing date for entries is Sunday 16 March 2025.
Entries will not be accepted on any other platform and the use of AI is not permitted. If the use of AI is detected, your submission will not be considered.

We've partnered with Brookes Sport, Brookes Residences and Brookes Union to bring you the 2025 Brookes Colour Run in celebration of Holi. Join us on Friday 14 March, from 2-4pm at the Harcourt Hill sports fields for a fun afternoon celebrating Holi and the arrival of Spring!
Whether you're a regular runner, celebrating Holi, or just looking for a fun afternoon with friends - all are welcome! Come on down to Harcourt Hill Campus to add a splash of colour to your day! Brookes Colour Run will be an untimed event with rainbow markers around the route. We encourage everyone to run, jog or walk the colour run (white tops encouraged!).
To get there from the Headington Campus you can jump on the 400 bus.

Join ISAT for a trip to the world famous Harry Potter Studios Tour. Tickets for this are extremely limited so we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment!
You'll be able to 'walk in the footsteps of Harry Potter and explore the wonders of the Wizarding World'. You can visit the Warner Brothers Studio website to find out more about what you'll see on the tour.

Join us for an evening of fun crafts accompanied by Easter themed refreshments. It's a great opportunity to socialise, make friends and get creative with other international students while enjoying some tasty Easter treats! All craft items you decorate/create are yours to take home!

These trips are organised by ISAT and our favourite tour guide Rob Tanner. ISAT manages bookings/website/online shop and student enquiries. Rob leads the tours on the day.

Trip Overview:
On the way to Brighton, Rob will tell you the story of how a sleepy fishing village turned into the most exciting seaside city in the UK. Your free time begins as soon as you get off the coach.
Go and see the attractions by the beach, the palace pier, the fashionable Lanes, the freaky North Laine shops and the extraordinary Royal Pavilion.
On the way home, we visit Devil’s Dyke, which on a clear day has perhaps the most amazing view in Southern England.

Trip Overview:
On the way we will pass Stonehenge. Rob will tell you about the very latest research into the 5,000 year old stone circle.
At Salisbury we will see another extraordinary monument, the 123 metre high Cathedral, for centuries the tallest building in Britain. Rob will tell you details about the beautiful and historic city before your free time. We then drive though the New Forest to the sandy beaches of Bournemouth with indoor and outdoor attractions.
