The Kinetic-AI Scholarship is awarded to one UK student joining the MA Digital Craft in Architecture in September 2026. The scholarship covers 50% of home tuition fees (£5,225) and is funded by Kinetic-AI, an Oxford-based design company specialising in digitally augmented and moveable architectural systems.
The scholarship is part of a wider partnership between the MA Digital Craft in Architecture and Kinetic-AI, supporting students whose research interests align with the company's territory of computational design, kinetic systems, and adaptive architectural elements. Awardees who develop Final Project research aligned with Kinetic-AI's research agenda may be considered for the company's PhD studentship opportunities on graduation.
Candidates are identified through visits to undergraduate degree show exhibitions across the UK in summer 2026, focused on architecture, interior architecture, and related design disciplines. Applications are also welcome from UK students holding an offer for the MA Digital Craft in Architecture whose work aligns with Kinetic-AI's research territory. The scholarship is awarded by a panel comprising the DCA Course Leader and a Kinetic-AI representative.
