Overview

The Mason Gilbert Scholarship will support a black home student from a lower income background to access the MSc Motorsport Engineering degree at Oxford Brookes University. The scholarship, worth £20,000, will help the successful applicant with living expenses and accommodation costs.

Mason Gilbert studied MSc Motorsport Engineering at Oxford Brookes. His thirst for knowledge and passion for racing was evident to all who knew him. Mason’s courage, strength and dedication were evident throughout his time at Oxford Brookes. He embodied the Brookes guiding principles of Generosity of Spirit and Confidence in everything he did.

Although Mason’s time with us was far too short, his parents have chosen to honour his memory through their generous donation of this scholarship, to allow someone who wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity to pursue their dreams in motorsport.
