Overview

Applications are now open for a School of Social Sciences scholarship that is available for applicants to the following courses:

  • MSc Primate Conservation
  • MSc Primate Conservation: Apes in the Anthropocene
  • MSc Primate Conservation: Human Primate Interface
  • MSc Primate Conservation: Lemurs and Nocturnal Primates courses.

The scholarship competition is open to those with experience of primate conservation in a range country, primate welfare, or other demonstrable experience with primates

Eligibility

Eligibility criteria

The scholarship competition is open to those with experience of primate conservation in a range country, primate welfare, or other demonstrable experience with primates and is:

  1.  A full time international/ EU student who is intending to study on the MSc Primate Conservation, MSc Primate Conservation: Apes in the Anthropocene, MSc Primate Conservation: Human Primate Interface and MSc Primate Conservation: Lemurs and Nocturnal Primates. This will be a fee waiver worth the value of home student fees (£8,200) with the remaining balance of £7,300 to be paid by the scholarship holder themselves. This is open to students intending to start their course in September 2022.
  2. A full time home student who is intending to study on the MSc Primate Conservation: Apes in the Anthropocene, MSc Primate Conservation: Human Primate Interface and MSc Primate Conservation: Lemurs and Nocturnal Primates. This will cover 100% of the tuition fees (£8,200) for those intending to start their course in September 2022. Applicants must provide evidence that they can cover other expenses, including the living expenses in Oxford; guidelines on how much you should expect to spend on your living costs can be found here. International/ EU students need to provide evidence on how they will pay the other proportion of their fees. The scholarship is available only to MSc offer holders.

Applicants for the scholarship will need to hold an offer before submitting their scholarship application.
