Web of Science
This host service provides a single route to many of the key scientific databases subscribed to by Brookes. These are: the Web of Science Core Collection (including the Science Citation Index); MEDLINE; Biosis Citation Index; Conference Proceedings Citation Index - Science; and Journal Citation Reports. Databases can be searched individually or together and bibliographic records will link to any full-text content available via Full Text Finder.

Science Direct
Contains around 2500 full text journals published by Elsevier, mainly in science, technology and medicine. Full text coverage for most journals in the collection is available from 2002 to present.
Medline
Biomedicine and health care. Compiled by the National Library of Medicine (USA), MEDLINE contains bibliographic information drawn primarily from life sciences literature, published since 1966. Specifically, medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, and the preclinical sciences. Contains over 12 million bibliographic citations and abstracts from more than 4,600 biomedical journals. Full text links may be available for some records.
PubMed
A large international medical, biomedical and healthcare database which also includes veterinary, animal health and other life science journal titles.
PsycInfo
A broad based Psychology database, coverage includes abstracts of books, journal articles and dissertations. Covers material published since 1887 Contains more than 1.5 million references.
Cochrane Library
If you are trying to find out how effective a treatment is then search this database which indexes Cochrane reviews. A Cochrane review is seen as the gold standard of evidence based healthcare as it brings together every piece of research on an intervention from around the world and draws conclusions based on all of the evidence available.
Routledge Online Studies on the Olympic and Paralympic Games
A learning resource, publishing scholarly and multidisciplinary research on the Olympic and Paralympic Games. ROSO contains over 1000 journal articles and book chapters on themes including: the media, education, gender, politics, governance, management, law, business, ethics, legacies, the environment, disability studies, athletic performance and history.
British Education Index
Covers mostly British and European Education journals, as well as some research reports and conference papers. Lots of the articles (not all) have the full text available.
