Change support for managers

This page is a starting point for managers who are about to initiate a change in their area. We advise that you get in contact with a member of the team or your Strategic People Partnering Teams at an early stage in your planning.

The Managers personal change checklist (Word) provides a series of thought-provoking prompt questions and suggestions to assist managers. It also contains web links to useful information and further support. Please also note that it is not intended to be a compliance checklist. This checklist has been developed through consultation, including face validity testing with a broad range of managers.

In addition to the checklist, we recommend the ACAS How to manage change booklet. This small booklet is packed with sound practical advice to assist managers in engaging and supporting their people through change.

A Terms of Reference is a useful tool in focusing your scope for a change initiative concisely articulating key information in the drafting stages for both decision-makers and stakeholders.
