We have several teams ranging from the top, competitive squad, which represents the Oxford Brookes in challenging competitions such as the British Universities Swimming League (BUSL), British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) Nationals, Varsity against the University of Reading and other competitions during the year, all the way to our social team, who swim to improve their fitness and create new friendships.
Training usually takes place at Brookes Sport, Harcourt Hill. Our competitive squad also train alongside the City of Oxford Swimming Club at Blackbird Leys Leisure Centre.
We have many students who are qualified coaches, who can adapt the training sessions to ensure a comfortable and friendly environment for those not as confident in the water, while providing tough and challenging sets to those willing to improve.
During the 2022/23 season, the club broke over 25 club records, reached the BUSL Final and won the TEAMBrookes Small Club of the Year, Sports Award – a feat we have never done before!
