Whether you're looking to improve your fitness, build confidence in the gym, try climbing or stay active alongside your studies, we have a membership option to suit you.
Did you know all Oxford Brookes students can enjoy free gym access every Wednesday through Wellness Wednesdays? We also offer affordable Student Active sessions throughout the week, helping you stay active, meet new people and try something new.
Not ready to commit to a membership? Student Hoppers provide flexible access to the gym, fitness classes and racket sports, making them a great option for commuter students or anyone with a less regular schedule.
Please bring your Oxford Brookes student ID on your first visit.
Membership benefits
Oxford Brookes students enjoy highly discounted rates, with full access to a wide range of benefits:
- Access to the full Student Active programme
- Annual and 123 memberships includes BUCS UNIversal access (using other participating university gyms)
- 14-day advance booking (PAYG users can only book 7 days ahead)
- Cancel bookings up to 20 minutes before the start time
- Direct Debit members can freeze memberships up to twice per year (freeze for 1 to 4 months, with 15 days' notice)
- Annual memberships cannot be frozen, but you receive 3 free months (pay for 9 months, get 12!)
Summit members enjoy (not Summit Off-Peak members):
- Free climbing shoe hire
- Access to all adult coach-led sessions at no extra cost

Fitness Off-Peak access times
- Gym: before 3pm on weekdays and anytime at weekends
- Fitness classes: before 3pm on weekdays only*
*Please note that this does not include our Learn to Lift fitness class due to the small class format.
Outside of these hours, Off-Peak members can access the gym and climbing wall during Peak times for £5 per session.
Summit Off-Peak access times
- Gym: before 3pm on weekdays only
- Fitness classes: before 3pm on weekdays only*
- Climbing & Bouldering: before 3pm on weekdays only

Short-Term memberships
We also offer 1-month memberships, ideal for those visiting Oxford short-term or without a UK bank account. Payment is made upfront, with no long-term commitment required.

Hoppers
Campus life needs flexible fitness, that’s why we’ve introduced Student Hoppers!
Student Hoppers are an affordable way to get active on campus, without committing to an annual or monthly membership.
Student Hopper Options (12 sessions each):
- Gym Hoppers: £60
- Fitness Class Hoppers: £60
- Racket Hoppers: £60 (Badminton & Squash, there is much more availability out of term time)
Hoppers last for 12 months, giving you plenty of opportunities to use your sessions. They can be purchased online and from reception.
