The School of Law offers an international transfer degree programme where students are given the option to complete a 2+1 (2 years at a partner university and then their final year at Oxford Brookes).
Upon completion of the programme students are awarded an LLB from Oxford Brookes University. This qualification is recognised by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and the Bar Standards Board and means you will be eligible to proceed to the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) or the Legal Practice Course (LPC) here in the UK. Students who pass a BPTC in the UK are exempt from the Malaysian Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP).
The 2+1 programme gives you a thorough grounding in all the core subjects you need to practise as a lawyer, along with the opportunity to improve your language skills whilst you live and study in Oxford – one of the world’s most celebrated student cities. Applications for this programme are made via one of our partner colleges below.
Nia is a final year LLB Law transfer student from Brickfields Asia College, Malaysia. Join Nia as she takes us for a tour of her day as a Law undergraduate student at Oxford Brookes University.
