Fiona Smith
Centre Administrator
Fiona has been with Oxford Brookes since January 1999 and is a member of the Learning Support team.
Fiona is the Programme Administrator for the Professional Standards Framework (PSF) Pathway Programme of Advance HE, formally the Higher Education Academy, and EXPLORE@Brookes programme.
She is the Conference Manager for Brookes Learning and Teaching annual conference (BLTC) and supports the teams educational developers in various projects and external work.
Francesca Wilkes
Learning and Development Co-ordinator
Francesca Wilkes has joined the OCSLD’s support team in the role of Learning and Development Coordinator and will be primarily supporting the Staff and Organisational Developers.
Francesca joined Oxford Brookes in September 2019 and provided onsite and administrative support for the NMC Test of Competence project and Adult Nursing in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences, where she managed an external Train the Trainer course, supported the administration for mandatory training courses for Adult Nursing, as well as the daily running of Objective Structured Clinical Exams.
Francesca’s background includes hospitality management, clinical Sports Massage, and coaching children and young adults in outdoor sports and activities.
Liz Drewett
Web and Communications Officer
Liz joined Oxford Brookes in 1991 as a Personnel Assistant in the Human Resources Directorate. Whilst employed in Human Resources, Liz undertook various roles which covered many aspects of the department’s work including work as a HR Advisor and Systems Administrator.
As a member of the Learning Support Team, Liz is responsible for creating and maintaining webpages and websites for the People Directorate. She is responsible for communicating events and information including managing Social Media accounts. Liz co-ordinates the monthly Staff Learning and Career Development Newsletter for Brookes staff.
Liz enjoys socialising with friends, cinema, travel and is an Advanced Motorist.
Luvena Wilson
Administration Manager
Luvena took up the post of Administration Manager in early September 2017. She manages the administration team and their systems to enable the smooth running of internal and external training events and consultancy, including digital marketing, online access to course resources and external accreditation.
Prior to working in the OCSLD, Luvena held the position of Institute Administrator at the Oxford Learning Institute, University of Oxford, where she worked with other members of the senior management team on the planning, management and reporting of the Institute’s finances, its personnel and facilities. She was also responsible for implementing strategic projects and providing leadership and guidance to the Institute’s services team.
Taylor Ray
EXPLORE Co-ordinator
Taylor joined Oxford Brookes in March 2022 as the EXPLORE Coordinator and provides administrative support to the Oxford Centre for Academic Enhancement and Development team.
Taylor has a background as an education programme coordinator for the parks and recreation department in the US. When not at work, Taylor enjoys running, bouldering and going for long walks with her husband.
