Brookes Active x Brookes Union - Harcourt Hill

We are really excited to have Brookes Active x Brookes Union sessions taking place at Brookes Sport, Harcourt Hill on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. 

We have various Weekly Football Kick Arounds taking place on the 3G Pitches (see times and days below) and the Weekly Get Active Session taking place 17:00 - 19:00 in the Lower Sports Hall. 

Please ensure you book into these sessions so that we can track attendace, as this will help to ensure their longevity. You can find the details of how to book below.

Weekly Football Kick Around

  • Tuesdays | 20:00 - 21:00 | Harcourt Hill, 3G
  • Wednesdays | 17:00 - 18:00 | Harcourt Hill, 3G
  • Thursdays | 17:00 - 18:00 | Harcourt Hill, 3G 
  • Sundays | 09:00 - 10:00 | Harcourt Hill, 3G

Come and play non-competitive, recreational football with other Oxford Brookes students in the weekly Brookes Active x Brookes Union kick arounds. These informal kick arounds are all about enjoying the game, without the pressure of competition. 

The aim is to engage students who are typically less active and do not currently engage with Brookes Sport through TEAMBrookes or a membership, but the sessions are open to all students. Whether you're a seasoned player or just looking to kick a ball around for fun, these sessions are the perfect opportunity to unwind, stay active, and socialise. 

Brookes Active sessions must be booked. You can do this through the Brookes Sport app, on Android or IOS, or via our web Book Online portal - see below for more details.

We have equipment you can borrow, so please collect and return balls to the Brookes Sport reception.

Weekly Get Active Session

  • Thursdays | 17:00 - 19:00 | Harcourt Hill, Lower Sports Hall

The Weekly Get Active Session provides a welcoming, safe and social environment for getting active. The aim is to engage students who are typically less active and do not currently engage with Brookes Sport through TEAMBrookes or a membership, but the sessions are open to all students.

The sessions are run by Brookes Active Activators who facilitate the activities and work closely with Brookes Sport and Brookes Union to plan the sessions. Please keep an eye on the Brookes Sport (@brookessportoxford), the Oxford Brookes Primary Teaching Society (@brookesprimaryteaching) and Brookes Union (@brookesunion) Instagrams for the weekly activity breakdown.

How to get involved...

To attend Brookes Active student activities, please follow these steps:

1. Register for a Brookes Sport Account:

  • Click to register for a Brookes Sport account
  • Select "Harcourt Hill" and click "Next" 
  • Enter your basic details, including your Oxford Brookes student email address
  • Select "Pay as you go" (PAYG) and complete the rest of the form 

2. Get your 7-digit Brookes Sport Member ID:

  • After registration, you will receive your unique 7-digit Brookes Sport Member ID

3. Activate Your Student Status:

  • Either, email your 7-digit Brookes Sport Member ID and Student ID number to sportsmembership@brookes.ac.uk, or
  • Visit either of our Brookes Sport receptions and provide your 7-digit Brookes Sport Member ID along with your Student ID number

4. Book Brookes Active Activities:

  • Once your student status is activated, you will be able to book the free Brookes Active student activities through the Brookes Sport app on Android or IOS, or via our web Book Online portal 
  • To book... simply click "Book a Class" on the Brookes Sport Harcourt Hill side of the App and you will find the football sessions listed and you'll then be able to log into your Brookes Sport account to make your booking    

Please remember that it's essential to book your Brookes Active sessions in advance to track attendance and support the continuation of these activities.
