Each year, Oxford Brookes University awards Sports Scholarships to talented student-athletes who demonstrate outstanding ability, dedication and potential in their chosen sport. We consider applicants from all sporting disciplines, but priority is given to those competing in Olympic, Paralympic or Commonwealth sports, or sports featured in British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) competitions.
Performance Sport Scholarship Programme
At Oxford Brookes University, the Performance Sport Scholarship Programme for 2026–2027 will operate through a tiered structure of Gold, Silver and Bronze awards.
Financial rewards will be available to student-athletes at Gold and Silver levels, alongside a comprehensive package of services for all scholars, including Physiotherapy, Strength and Conditioning, Nutrition, Sport Psychology and Personal Development support.
As an accredited, dual-career delivery site, the University is committed to enabling student athletes to succeed both in their sport and in their academic studies. Scholars will benefit from tailored academic flexibility where appropriate, helping them to manage the demands of high-performance sport while continuing to progress and achieve in their education.

To be eligible, you must:
- Represent Oxford Brookes University in BUCS competitions (or equivalent)
- Have competed at academy, age-group international level or above, as appropriate to your sport and demonstrate a desire to progress further within that sport.
- Compete in a recognised sport affiliated with a National Governing Body (NGB).
- Be enrolled at Oxford Brookes University and undertake a minimum of 60 credits per academic year
Please note that existing scholars in any category must reapply for each subsequent academic year.

- Friday 9 October: Interviews for Gold Tier
- Wednesday 14 October: All applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application
