The fact that Brookes offered a work placement programme was very attractive to me and definitely helped shape my future career. The course is not just about the theory but also about the continued application of what you learn in the workplace

I decided to do a master’s degree because it would open up more professional opportunities especially in large multinational companies.

I had already been living and working in Oxford for two years before I started my master’s degree at Brookes. Oxford is a vibrant city and offers a mix of historic and modern beauty. There are plenty of things to do and it is full of students from around the world. I really enjoyed studying in a multicultural environment.

The fact that Brookes offered a work placement programme was very attractive to me and definitely helped shape my future career. The course is not just about the theory but also about the continued application of what you learn in the workplace.

All the lecturers and staff are friendly and helpful. Brookes offers academic English language support for students who are finding the course challenging. This definitely helps with writing reports and the dissertation.

I’m now back in my hometown in Turkey and I am pursuing my career in an international market research company. The International Management and Research modules from my course have proved to be useful because my current job involves creating research proposals.

Brookes welcomes students from all over the world and offers a great environment for studying. I would definitely recommend Oxford Brookes University as a destination to study for international students.

This course has since been renamed to MA International Business and Intercultural Communication.
