Citing your sources (also called referencing) is an essential part of your academic work and is explained fully on our library referencing webpage.

Brookes Harvard referencing style is the standard system of referencing used by most courses at Brookes. However you should always ask your module leader or supervisor which referencing style they want you to use.

The library has produced a quick guide to the BrookesHarvard style which you can download here Citing your references using the Harvard (author-date) system (PDF).
