Why doesn’t the seven day pass show on the Trust App?
The seven day pass for staff permit holders will only show as an option if you sign up to the app using your Brookes email address. If you have used a non-Brookes email address to sign up, please delete the app and upload it again using your Brookes email.
Staff should be aware that it can sometimes take up to five working days from a new annual staff parking permit being activated, for the seven day pass to appear as a payment option on the Trust App.
How long does a seven day pass last?
The seven day pass option covers parking for a seven day period and is active by the minute. As an example, a seven day pass purchased on 1 January at 9.00am will expire on 8 January at 8.59am.
Why doesn’t my daily tariff show on the Trust App?
Your correct daily tariff will only show if you sign up to the app using your Brookes email address. If you have used a non-Brookes email address to sign up, please delete the app and upload it again using your Brookes email.
Occasionally vehicle registration marks are unable to be detected by the ANPR system (e.g. if a number plate is dirty or damaged).
If a rear number plate is dirty/damaged this can result in parking sessions continuing when a vehicle has left the car park. If the Trust App shows that your parking session is still active when you have left the car park, please contact transport@brookes.ac.uk for support.

What should I do if my vehicle is not showing on the Active Sessions tab in the Trust Parking app?
Firstly, pull the touch screen downwards to refresh the page.
If you have just entered the car park, please allow 20-30 minutes for your session to show on the Trust Parking app.
If after this time your session still does not show, please press the “Vehicle not showing” button in the centre of the screen.
From here you can manually select your chosen car park, Vehicle Registration Mark (ie: your car's number plate), entry and exit time/date and make payment manually.
I’ve changed my vehicle since I last used the Trust Parking app for off-peak parking - what do I do?
You must update your registered VRM on the Trust Parking app.
What should I do if I have left the car park and my session is still showing as open?
Please select the parking session and press “Pay Now”.
What if I forget to pay?
If you have disabled the autopay feature, you have up to 48 hours, from leaving the car park, to pay for your parking session via the Trust Parking app. Failure to pay within this time period will result in a Parking Charge Notice being issued by post. It is always the motorist’s responsibility to ensure payment is made for a parking session.
As a permit holder, do I need to make parking payments during off-peak periods?

Campus access for vehicles on open days and similar events is managed in collaboration between departments including theTransport Office, Venues, Residential Services, Recruitment, Commercial Operations and Campus Services.
How will deliveries be dealt with?
Where practically possible, we encourage deliveries during off-peak hours. Delivery vehicles are allowed to drop off without any charge.
For ad hoc-based drop off or collections, this should be arranged with the applicable faculty or directorate and a maximum stay of 30 minutes is permissible.
Whilst parked, vehicles should not cause an obstruction and hazard lights should be on to identify drop off / collection.
Why am I asked to pay £40 even though I am a permit holder?
Non-permit holders are automatically charged £40 during peak hours. If you have an active permit and your Trust App shows this charge, it indicates there is an issue with your permit. You must ensure that both your Nexus account and your Trust App display your vehicle's details before entering the car park; otherwise, the system will not recognise your vehicle as belonging to your permit.
Can I park in a University car park to pick up/drop off a student in halls of residence?
Non-permit holders can park in the car park during off-peak hours and pay for their parking on the Trust App. Off-peak hours are from 5.01pm to 6.59am on weekdays and at weekends. Please be aware that the ANPR system does not recognise bank holidays and therefore follows the weekday rule throughout the year. All weekends are off-peak, so available for non-permit holders to pay through the Trust App.
Please note that parking in the permit holder car park during peak hours (7.00am to 5.00pm on weekdays) will incur an automatic charge of £40, regardless of the duration of your parking session. This fee must be paid through the Trust App; otherwise, a PCN will be issued.
