Maritza Miranda-Pachon is Deputy Director within the Directorate of Academic and Student Administration at Oxford Brookes University, where she leads the Strategic Change and Planning division. In this role, Maritza provides strategic and operational leadership across a wide-ranging portfolio, including institutional planning, data modelling, business intelligence, market insight, and student statutory reporting. She supports the Vice-Chancellor’s Group as well as senior leadership teams across faculties and directorates by delivering high-quality analysis and insight to inform major strategic decisions.
Since joining Oxford Brookes in 2013, Maritza has held a series of senior roles and led numerous large-scale change initiatives, including the implementation of the Undergraduate Academic Framework, the deployment of business intelligence systems, and improvements to student data and reporting processes. She brings significant expertise in change management, strategic planning, and programme delivery, developed through a career spanning both UK higher education and international contexts.
Maritza holds a first-class degree in Industrial Engineering, specialising in business management and operations. She is a certified PRINCE2 Practitioner and a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI). As Staff Governor, she represents professional services colleagues and is committed to fostering an inclusive and collaborative institutional culture.
