The BA (Hons) Business Management and Analytics (Final Year Entry) course at Oxford Brookes Business School is designed for students who want to build on their previous studies and graduate with a globally recognised UK degree in just one year.

This course  provides you with the skills to make data-informed business decisions in today’s fast changing global environment. You will build on your prior studies to develop  further knowledge in management, leadership and organisational strategy, alongside practical analytics skills using tools such as Python, Excel, and Power BI. Through real world projects and case studies, you will learn to translate complex data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.

Course structure

The BA (Hons) Business Management and Analytics (Final Year Entry) is designed to help you build on your previous studies and graduate with a UK honours degree in just one year.

Throughout the course, you will explore key areas including leadership, advanced business analytics, strategic business management and emerging technologies. You will develop an analytical mindset while strengthening your understanding of how organisations grow, adapt and respond to change in a global environment.

A core feature of the programme is applied learning. You will work on practical projects and explore how businesses can create a positive impact. 

The course also includes dedicated support for academic development, career planning and applied research, helping you graduate with the confidence and skills to progress into employment, further study or self-employment.

Teaching combines academic theory with practical, experiential learning designed to prepare you for today’s business world.

You will learn through:

Practical, hands-on learning is at the heart of the programme. You will apply analytical tools such as Python, Excel and Power BI to solve real-world problems, working individually and in groups alongside students from diverse international backgrounds.

Teaching is supported through our digital learning environment, giving you access to course materials, reading lists, research tools and collaborative spaces. You will also benefit from input from academics with industry expertise and opportunities to hear from entrepreneurs and business professionals.

Assessment

This course is 100% coursework, allowing you to demonstrate your knowledge through practical and applied assessment methods.

Assessment methods include:

  • individual written assignments
  • reports and case study analysis
  • reflective pieces and personal development portfolios
  • group project work
  • research-based coursework.

Assessments are designed to reflect real-world business scenarios, helping you build skills in communication, problem-solving, innovation and strategic thinking.

Field Trips

While this course does not include formal field trips, you will benefit from opportunities to engage with industry through guest speakers, entrepreneurs in residence and visiting business professionals.

The programme is designed around practical business challenges and applied learning, giving you exposure to real-world perspectives from across enterprise, innovation and management.

You may also have opportunities to work on live briefs and socially focused research projects, helping you connect your studies to current business and societal issues.

Start this course in January or September

You can start this course in January if a September start doesn't suit you.

If you opt to start in January, you will study your first semester between January and May and your second semester between September and December. There will be no teaching during June, July and August.

How and when to pay

Tuition fee instalments for the semester are due by the Monday of week 1 of each semester. Students are not liable for full fees for that semester if they leave before week 4. If the leaving date is after week 4, full fees for the semester are payable.
