The BA (Hons) Digital Marketing (Final Year Entry) is designed for students who want to build on their previous studies and graduate with a globally recognised UK degree in just one year.

This dynamic programme combines strategic marketing theory with practical digital skills to prepare you for today’s fast-moving marketing industry. You will explore areas such as social media management, consumer insight, digital strategy and data-led decision-making, while developing hands-on experience with industry-relevant tools and platforms.

Course structure

Fast-paced. Global. Competitive. That’s how many professionals describe the world of digital marketing. 

You will study key areas including digital marketing strategy, social media management, consumer insight and data-led decision-making. Core modules explore critical issues in digital marketing, the use of big data to understand audiences and the development of effective platform-based campaigns.

A strong emphasis is placed on practical application. You will work on real-world marketing challenges, develop campaign ideas and use consumer data to shape strategy and content decisions.

The course also includes dedicated support for academic development, applied research and career planning, helping you prepare for employment in the digital marketing industry.

Learning and teaching

Teaching combines academic theory with practical, experiential learning designed to prepare you for today’s digital marketing industry.

You will learn through:

Assessment

This course is 100% coursework, allowing you to demonstrate your knowledge through practical and applied assessment methods.

Field Trips

While this course does not include formal field trips, you will benefit from opportunities to engage with industry through guest speakers, entrepreneurs in residence and visiting business professionals.

The programme is designed around practical business challenges and applied learning, giving you exposure to real-world perspectives from across enterprise, innovation and management.

You may also have opportunities to work on live briefs and socially focused research projects, helping you connect your studies to current business and societal issues.

Start this course in January or September

You can start this course in January if a September start doesn't suit you.

If you opt to start in January, you will study your first semester between January and May and your second semester between September and December. There will be no teaching during June, July and August.

Digital marketing skills are in high demand, with the top 3 fastest rising jobs all in social media. Social Media Coordinator is increasing by 19%, Community Manager up 18.1% and Social Media Assistant up 16.5% (Marketing Week).

We’ve designed this course to make you feel confident in a range of areas, from critical analysis to teamwork. By the time you graduate, you’ll be ready to apply for these roles in a range of organisations. Or perhaps you want to be part of a digital marketing agency and work for a range of clients.

Tuition fee instalments for the semester are due by the Monday of week 1 of each semester. Students are not liable for full fees for that semester if they leave before week 4. If the leaving date is after week 4, full fees for the semester are payable.
