Our Visiting Industrial Fellow (VIF) and Entrepreneurs in Residence (EIR) scheme engages individuals with the background, experience and enthusiasm to deliver business, commercial, entrepreneurial and related insights and support work for our students, staff and stakeholders.

Senior Lecturer ​Senior Lecturer in Leadership, Development, HR

I am responsible for teaching and learning in the field of people & organisations/human resource management (encompassing SHRM, Organisational Behaviour, Leadership and Management of Change/Culture) at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

My field of research is knowledge management and knowledge sharing, specifically focused in the field of Event Studies and amongst volunteer resources. I actively conduct research, seek funding applications, collaborate with colleagues, and produce published outcomes. I supervise a range of students research projects up to and including doctoral level (PhD and DCM). 

In addition, ​I am the undergraduate Hospitality and Tourism (HM) and Hospitality (HO) Programmes' Subject Coordinator, working directly with the UG OSHM Programme Lead. I am also the OBBS undergraduate (academic) Induction Coordinator, working with the Associate Dean Undergraduate Studies (ADUS). Finally, in collaboration with Professor Berry O'Donovan, we jointly share the role of TEF Subject coordinator, working with the Associate Dean for Education and Student Experience (ADESE).

Senior Lecturer in Leadership

Karen is a Senior Lecturer in Leadership at the Business School, a Subject Coordinator for the Business and Management undergraduate programme, and an advisor for the Senior People Professional Apprenticeship. She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA). With a long-established academic and teaching profile in sustainability leadership and management, Karen is committed to supporting student success and developing links to business networks and practice. Her practice is deeply aligned with the United Nations 'Principles of Responsible Management Education' (PRME), for which she is the Secretary for PRME UK and Ireland Chapter Steering Committee, a Co-Lead for the London and South East regional network, and an ambassador for PRME Global Sustainability Mindset Working Group.

As MBA Director I am responsible for overseeing the MBA programme in all its facets. This includes responsibility for programme delivery and student experience, quality assurance, continuous improvement and strategic development, marketing, recruitment, liaison with accreditors and ACCA, etc. All of this is done working with a range of support and professional services and a great academic team.

I also teach undergraduate and postgraduate students (including MBA).

Kate has over 25 years of experience within the automotive sector, most recently as Director of Continuous Improvement for Harley Davidson. Following her career change into higher education, Kate works with MBAs and other professionals, supporting international business consultancy.

Sarah-Louise is a consultant and academic specialising in understanding consumer behaviour and the role of brand in the nonprofit sector. She is an experienced practitioner having held senior positions across manufacturing, retail and non-profit sectors, mostly recently in HFT and RVS.

My main activities include teaching and supervising on our Doctorate in Coaching & Mentoring, MA in Coaching and Mentoring Practice and the MA/MSc programmes in Human Resource Management. I also undertake doctoral research supervision across the Business School. I am the Oxford Brookes University Module Leader for Practice Fundamentals and Coaching in the Workplace.  I am also a professional coach and facilitator and an academic researcher with a background in City finance and leadership training.

Robert specialises in quantitative research methods, survey design, index benchmarking and structural equation modelling. His work in understanding tourist behaviour has been widely published and has been supported by various national and international research grants.

Rachel is Senior Lecturer at Oxford Brookes Business School. Her research focuses on data analytics in Business and financial management, and the application of big data in business studies, with a special interests in the context of hospitality, tourism and events sectors. 

She leads and teaches on a number of Undergraduate and Postgraduate modules. She also supervises PhD and Doctoral of Coaching and Mentoring (DCM) students, and postgraduate students dissertation, on a good range of topics. 

Rachel is also the Subject Experts of the Business & Management Programme with our International Partner ChengDu University of Technology (CDUT), China.

Senior Lecturer of Dark Tourism, Tourism and Events Management; Subject Coordinator for PG Hospitality, Tourism and Events programmes

Dr Brianna Wyatt is a Senior Lecturer for Oxford Brookes University. She teaches at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels in the subjects of Dark Tourism; Global Contexts of Hospitality, Tourism, and Events Management; and Planning and Delivering Sustainable Events. She is also the Subject Coordinator for the PG programmes in Hospitality, Tourism, and Events.

Brianna specialises in dark tourism and focuses specifically on the interpretation and experience design for visitor attractions, museums, and festivals and events. She has further interests and experience with the wider heritage tourism industry, including World Heritage, which she has worked directly with at UNESCO World Heritage Centre, Paris.

Brianna received her PhD from Edinburgh Napier University as a 50th Anniversary Scholar, where she critically explored the influences on the design and management of interpretation at lighter dark visitor attractions. She has also completed her PGCHE (with Merit) and has been awarded Fellowship with Advanced HE (formerly the Higher Education Academy). She also holds a PGC in Business Research Methods, an MSc in Heritage and Cultural Tourism Management (with Distinction and as a University Medal Winner), an MA in Humanities, specialising in History, an MA in Museum Studies, and a BA in History.
