    The Brookes Teaching Innovation Project (BTIP) Award is a teaching development grant to help you fund that innovative work to support your students that you have always wanted to do!

    This internal award is intended to be a step towards your preparation of an application for a National Teaching Fellowship, and the award’s criteria are aligned with this national competition. Applications have now closed for 2019, so if you are interested in applying for the 2020 Award, please contact Dr Mary Deane, the scheme lead, via mdeane@brookes.ac.uk

    Funding of up to £5,000 will be available for successful applicants who propose projects linked with any aspect of inclusivity, diversity, or equality of opportunity for learners at Oxford Brookes University.

    Award holders are expected to produce a project report and disseminate their work via the annual

    The Brookes Teaching Innovation Project criteria are:

    • Novelty of proposed project’s approach
    • Impact of proposed project across Brookes
    • Evaluation plan for project
    • Student involvement in project
    • Costing plan for project

    The Brookes Teaching Innovation Project application process requires confirmation from the relevant Line Manager that the proposed work can be accommodated within the relevant workload/s, as indicated in the Brookes Teaching Innovation Project Application form.
