OCAED Academic Collaboration and Transformation fund (OCAED-ACT)

Could a small pot of funding help you support the collaborative investigation of a specific academic challenge, one that transforms academic practice in your discipline, Faculty or across the University?

If so, the OCAED Academic Collaboration and Transformation fund (OCAED-ACT) could be for you.

Amount: up to £1,200 per Faculty. The same amount that has been set aside for a Directorate bid.

Outline criteria:

  1. Take a scholarly approach
  2. Address strategic priorities
  3. Provide a clear rationale
  4. Align with the IDEAS curriculum model
  5. Explain your use of partnership
  6. Outline ethics and expenditure

Eligibility:

Colleagues at all career stages, from all academic departments, and anyone working within the directorates, are welcome to apply. We are particularly keen to receive proposals from colleagues who have not previously conducted a Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) enquiry and are seeking to extend their knowledge and expertise.

However, please note that to be eligible applicants must hold (or in the case of professional services applicants, not on academic contracts, partner with a colleague who holds) professional teaching recognition (Fellow or Associate, Senior or Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy).

For further details please see the call for applications from which you will be able to gain access to the application form and find out about briefing sessions and drop-ins with the scheme lead Dr Sue Moron-Garcia.

Application deadline:
11 October 2023 at 12 noon.
