The first phase of our New Clive Booth student accommodation, Elm Building, launched in January 2024. The remainder of the hall's development, Damson and Fir, will be open to welcome September 2024 arrivals. The new buildings have a light-filled contemporary feel and the fit out has been inspired by our students.

This hall forms part of Clive Booth Student Village complex which also includes the postgraduate centre, non-ensuite blocks, and further ensuite undergraduate accommodation. It is a large student residential complex surrounded by landscaped grounds and trees.

New Clive Booth Bedroom

 News As part of our commitment to providing the best quality accommodation for our students, some landscaping and grounds work will continue at Clive Booth during the 2024/25 academic year. Our contractors follow construction best-practice guidelines and all necessary Health and Safety precautions will be strictly adhered to throughout the project. Please be assured that our work is programmed to cause as little noise and disruption as possible.

Costs

Academic year 2024/25

  • En suite single study bedrooms with double beds: £210 per week (£7,950.00 for 38 weeks).

Contracts for the 2024/25 academic year run for 38 weeks from Saturday 14 September 2024 until 6 June 2025.    


What's included?

The price includes all of your utility bills, basic contents insurance and inclusive travel on the BROOKESbus network (BROOKESkey account required). Free Wi-Fi is provided to students across most Oxford Brookes University sites.

A complimentary internet connection in the hall is provided by WiFinity and whilst every effort will be made to ensure the connection is stable, the University does not accept liability for any loss of connection due to technical problems.

Location

Clive Booth is within walking distance to the Headington Campus and the Marston Road Site. The hall also benefits from local and BROOKESbus routes on both Headington Road and Marston Road, providing easy transport into the city centre and our Wheatley and Harcourt Hill campuses. It is also within walking distance to the popular Cowley Road area where many of our students socialise.

All of our halls are self-catered with each flat having its own shared kitchen for you to cook and eat your own meals.

New Clive Booth has modern fully fitted kitchens with window seat, electric hob, electric oven, microwave, kettle, fridge/freezer, dedicated lockable cupboard per student and recycling/waste bins.

The kitchen/lounge diners also have social space with a kitchen table specially designed for Oxford Brookes using recycled white goods, a dining bench and chairs, easy chairs, sofa and coffee table. An ironing board, vacuum, mop and bucket are also provided in each flat.

Bedding, cleaning and kitchen/dining packs for university-managed halls can be pre-ordered through the accommodation portal after accepting your accommodation contract.

  • New Clive Booth kitchens have induction hobs, so please make sure you bring or buy suitable pans.
