The Oxford Brookes Netball Club is hugely popular, attracting over 100 members each year. We have 4 competitive teams that compete in British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) as well as a full Intramural set-up on Sundays, which offers a fun, social way to play.
Netball
Netball is a dynamic and fast-paced sport that relies on quick passes, sharp plays and all-out teamwork.

You can also meet us, along with nearly 40 other student sports clubs, at the Sport & Active Wellness Fair on the Thursday of Freshers' Week. It's a great opportunity to meet the committee, ask questions and find out more about the club.
Following the Fair, we'll be running taster sessions and/or team trials.

Taster Sessions & Trials
Taster sessions and trials begin soon after the Sport & Active Wellness Fair, so we recommend meeting us at the Fair or getting in touch as early as possible.
Taster sessions give you the opportunity to try our sport, meet current members and experience the club before purchasing a membership. Most clubs continue to offer taster sessions until the end of Week 2.
Team trials for competitive squads often take place within the first few days after the Sport & Active Wellness Fair. If you're hoping to compete, we recommend contacting the club before the start of term or meeting us at the Fair so you don't miss out.

To join this sports club, you'll need to purchase a club membership. A valid club membership is required to participate in training sessions, competitions and other club activities.
Choosing your membership
Each Oxford Brookes student sports club sets its own membership options and prices based on the activities, facilities and opportunities it offers. Many clubs provide different membership types to suit a range of participation levels, for example:
- Competitive memberships
- Development/intramural memberships
- Recreational or social memberships
Please visit the Brookes Sport Online Shop to view the memberships available for the club you wish to join.
Club memberships are purchased on a per-club basis, so if you would like to join more than one sports club, you will need to purchase a membership for each club.

What's included?
What is included will vary between clubs and membership types, but may include:
- Training sessions
- Facility hire
- Coaching
- Entry into BUCS and local competitions (where applicable)
- Access to club activities and events
All Student Sports Club memberships also include:
- The Brookes Sport Affiliation Fee (£20), which includes your personal accident insurance.
- Complimentary access to the Student Move programme. Details about Student Move and how to activate your access can be found on the Student Move webpage.
- Acceptance of the relevant Sport & Active Wellness terms, conditions and policies during the membership purchase process.

Financial support
We believe that financial circumstances should never be a barrier to taking part in student sport.
Students who receive an eligible Oxford Brookes bursary may be eligible for financial support towards the cost of a club membership through the Sport & Active Wellness Bursary Support scheme.
