Arrivals Weekend

Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 January 2024

Arrivals Weekend is the weekend before Induction Week and is when many students choose to arrive in Oxford. The Student Induction Team will be available on campus and remotely to offer support and advice. Whether you will be moving into halls, commuting or living in Oxford, we would be happy to help you.

Will you be living in a University hall of residence? Check the Accommodation page on moving in for more information on arriving, parking and collecting your keys, plus who to contact if you have any questions.

Some halls of residence and Oxford Brookes houses have contracts which start earlier than Arrivals Weekend. You can choose the move-in date which works for you as long as it falls within your contract.

 Road closure

A portion of Botley Road will be closed until autumn 2024, impacting the 400/U1 bus route. For the latest updates, please check regularly with the Oxford Bus Company.

Getting help during Arrivals Weekend

Student Induction Team

To help you get ready for your Induction Week and settle into Oxford Brookes, our Student Induction Team will be available at the Reception for New Students on the Headington Campus over Arrivals Weekend. We will also have our Zoom room and phone line available.

Ask us about:

  • how to enrol as a student
  • getting access to your email, calendar and online study platforms
  • your course induction and general University events
  • how to get in touch with your academic team.

Other support

We have an extensive support network at Oxford Brookes. If you have a question or concern which isn't covered by any of the teams on this page, check our Supporting You page for a full list of support teams and services who can help you.
