Financial help for undergraduate international students from outside the EU

  • If you are an international student you can benefit from a range of financial support to help with the cost of studying in the UK.
  • Students with an offer for an international foundation course are eligible to apply for one of our £4,000 Richard Haill International Scholarships.

Oxford Brookes University is committed to the development of student sporting excellence, and the Sports Scholarships provided by Santander aim to support elite athletes through their time at the University.

The Sports Team's web pages provide detailed information about the Santander Scholarship operation, including how to apply.

If two or more members of immediate family are studying and paying fees at Oxford Brookes at the same time, we will deduct 10% from your tuition fees for each family member.

This discount is open to all family members (siblings and spouses) who are categorised as 'overseas' for fees purposes. For more information please contact the Student Finance team.

If you have completed one of these courses

and are renewing your visa to join an Oxford Brookes undergraduate course in 2018-19, the University will pay the costs of renewing your Tier 4 visa, as follows:

    • £475, if it is renewed in the UK
    • £348, if it is renewed outside the UK

To claim this discount you should apply by email to the Student Finance Office after receiving your visa for your new course. You must provide a copy of your passport or your new visa, which must be dated after you have finished your previous course.

If you have applied in the UK you must show your new visa on a Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) or visa card. If you have applied outside the UK you must show the visa sticker in your passport.

Unless a request is made no discount will be awarded. The discount will be debited against your tuition fees. If your fees have already been paid in full a refund will be arranged. Only one visa renewal discount will be awarded per course.

Other sources of funding are available from time to time. For more information, please contact your local British Council office or visit the websites of the UK Council for International Student Affairs or Education UK.
