1. Time limit for foundation year

• Section 6.13.2 – In order to qualify for progression from a foundation year/Year 0 programme of year 1 of a Bachelors degree, students must pass all their module requirements within two years (and no more than four semesters within that period)

2. Compensation:

• Section 6.10.1iii – To progress from level 4 to level 5, a maximum of 30 level 4 credits may be awarded by compensation marks

• Section 6.10.1.iv – To progress from level 5 to level 6, a maximum of 15 level 5 credits may be awarded by compensation marks

3. Maximum credit limits

• Section 6.14.2 – Foundation (Year 0) - ...students must meet the credit requirements within a maximum time period of two years or four semesters. Students who fail more than 45 credits

in any two successive semesters of study may be withdrawn from the course by the examination committee. Compensatory pass marks may not be applied on the foundation year.

• Section 6.14.2 – 4 – Students may attempt a maximum of 165 credits in achieving the 120 level 4 credits required for progression to level 5. Students who fail more than 45 credits at

level 4 will be required to withdraw from the course, unless compensatory pass marks (not applicable to foundation degrees) can be applied

• Section 6.14.2 – 5 – Students may attempt a maximum of 165 credits in achieving the 120 level 5 credits required for progression to level 6. Students who fail more than 45 credits at level 5 will be required to withdraw from the course, unless compensatory pass marks (not applicable to foundation degrees) can be applied

• Section 6.14.2 – 4 – Students may attempt a maximum of 165 credits in achieving the 120 level 6 credits required for completion of a bachelor's degree with honours. Students who fail more than 45 credits at level 6 will be required to withdraw from the course

• Section 6.10.1 – To progress from level 3 to level 4, a maximum of 40 level 3 credits may be awarded by compensation marks

Section 6.14.2 – Foundation (Year 0)

Compensatory pass marks may be applied on the foundation year.

Regulation 2.1.2:
Where students are not progressing from an Oxford Brookes University programme at level 5, the student must achieve 90 credits to be awarded the Ordinary degree from a top-up award.

Regulation 2.1.2:
Where students are not progressing from an Oxford Brookes University programme at level 5, the student must achieve 80 credits to be awarded the Ordinary degree from a top-up award.
