Clearing students

Firstly, the Admissions team will review your application and decide whether to make you an offer through Clearing. If your application is successful, you'll receive an email with information about your offer and what you need to do next to confirm your place at Oxford Brookes. Once your place has been confirmed by the Admissions team, you will be invited to complete online enrolment. You may need to wait a short time before receiving your invitation (exact timings depend on your situation). You will then receive two separate emails. One will invite you to enrol and confirm your student number, and the other will ask you to set a password. You can then use your student number and password as your login details to access the online enrolment process.

Enrolment takes about 15-20 minutes - it is an online form and will ask you to confirm or provide information about yourself. You'll need to upload a clear photo of yourself as part of the process.

Once you have completed your enrolment you will be able to access all other online platforms including your student emails and class timetable. 

Non-UK nationals also need to complete Right to Study checks. You can do this before or after enrolling, but please do both as soon as you can.

All students need to be fully enrolled (including Right to Study checks if applicable) and ready to study by the relevant enrolment deadline:

• Full-time students: Friday 2 October 2026
• Part-time students: Friday 9 October 2026

You will need to have a formal offer of a place in order to attend classes. Provided you have this offer, then yes, we encourage you to attend classes whether or not you have enrolled. There will also be lots of non-Clearing students who have not enrolled by the time they get here, so you won't be alone! Your schedule for Induction Week is available online so you can access that any time. If you do not have access to your online class timetable by the time classes are starting, contact the Student Induction Team.

If you are asked to access anything on Moodle before enrolling, please speak to your lecturer. They should be able to set up guest access for you or provide the study materials another way.

Make sure you know which of the three Oxford Brookes sites you need to go to:

• Headington Campus in Oxford
• Marston Road Site in Oxford
• Swindon Campus

If you don't know where your teaching will be based, please contact the Student Induction Team for help.

If you do not yet have an offer of a place, you are welcome to visit our campuses but please do not start attending classes. If you would like to follow up on the progress of your application, please call the Clearing hotline.

During Induction Week (Monday 14 - Friday 18 September), most courses have introductory activities to help students get ready to study. Classes start from the week beginning Monday 21 September (week one of semester). If you have enrolled, you should be able to log in and view your class timetable. Once you arrive, your course team will be able to advise you about catching up on anything you have missed.  

You might want to check your Oxford Brookes emails to see if your course team has already contacted you directly. If they haven't, don't worry - their contact details are available on your course induction schedule or you can ask the Student Induction Team for the information.

There are still lots of ways to meet people and get involved with various Oxford Brookes communities. We recommend the following:

• Find events on the Brookes Union website
• Join a student network
• Join a society
• Join a sports club or team
• Learn about upcoming international student events
• Find out what the Multifaith Chaplaincy offers

• Explore some Headington Campus building tours
• Read more about our campuses and sites
• Come and visit the Student Induction Team at Headington Campus - if you'd like us to show you any specific areas of the campus, please come to see us from about 3:00pm onwards when our services are quieter.

The Student Induction Team will be available at Headington Campus for the first few weeks of the semester. If you need help after these services close, please contact or visit the Student Hub.
